July Haul

Hey there :)

As I have been a really good girl, well kind of really good, I haven´t purchased very much make up this month, I was more looking for clothes and shoes. However, I´d like to show you the items I bought in July.

MUA Eyebrow Pencil "blonde": I´ve featured it in my last empties post and repurchased it as soon as it was empty. It is easy to apply, matches my eyebrow colour very well and is really cheap. I love it!

Collection 2000 Concealer: I´ve heard so much about this concealer! I always tried to stay strong, but when the last Boots offer (3 for 2) was on, I just couldn´t resist and I´m happy I bought it, as it has a really good coverage and stays in place the whole day. It is also really inexpensive. A very good concealer!

Essie "Naughty Nautical": I love Essie nail polishes and this colour caught my eye. Usually, I wear a nail polish again every couple of weeks, as I just got too many, but this one I´ve been wearing constantly on either my fingers or toes. I´m just so in love!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo "Pink Gold": I had my eye on this for ages now, but I was always too scared, that it would look too similar to Chanel "Emerveille", but after I compared them in the shop, they don´t. So I bought it and I´m so happy about it. It has a nice texture, applies really easily and stays the whole day.

Mac "Sizzlin Diva": I went to Portsmouth with my friend and found a make up outlet with old Mac LEs, so obviously, I had to take a look. I´ve been really good, as I just bought this single item. I always wanted to try a creme eyeshadow by Mac and I really liked the colour as it can be build up to a darker bronze. I´m really excited to play with it a bit.

Mac Mineralized Blush "Simmer": My first mineralized product by Mac and I really like it. The colour is amazing, the texture really soft and the pigmentation just stunning. Really have to get more of these.

Top 5: LE products

Hey there :)

Yes, it´s Tuesday again, so time for another Top 5 Tuesday. Today it is all about my favourite limited edition products. I hope you don´t mind as they are not available anymore. Maybe you can find them on ebay or some other website.

Essie "Pennytalk": The first one is Essie "Pennytalk". I have never seen such a colour or similar to this with any brand. When it came out, there was such a run on this nail varnish that I was quite lucky that I got it. I still love it after a year now. You only need one layer and it gives a really even finish.

Mac "Flatter Me": With this one it´s not just the beautiful print on it, the cute packaging and the really nice colour, it gives a beautiful peachy glow to the cheeks, but also the place where I bought it. I bought it on the airport with my boyfriend on the way to our first holiday together. That´s why it is so special to me.

Sleek "Mirrored Pink": Sleek blushes are amazing, we don´t have to talk about that. They always come up with such amazing shades. As always the pigmentation is really good and the shimmer is literally like a mirror. I´m in love!

Catrice "Artfully Lustrous": This eyeshadow is so well pigmented and so soft that it is so easy to apply. It look especially good as a highlight or for a light make up. I have used quite a lot and I´m already scared to hit the pan.

Alverde "shimmery gold": The colour of this eyeliner is simply amazing. It´s not a pure gold, but more of an old gold with a hint of olive. The eyeliner is really nice in combination with Mac "Sumptous Olive" or "Woodwinked".

Colours of the Rainbow Tag

Hey there,

you have probably seen this tag so often by now, that you don´t even want to read this. But I really like to see all these products for a specific colour. Sometimes I wouldn´t even think of the products that some blogger feature in their posts. So today, I´d like to show you my version and products. Let´s get started.

Red:

Mac "Russian Red": This is most probably my most loved lipstick ever. I love the matte finish and the colour is simply amazing. 

Orange:

Loreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil: Here in England, the lenght of my hair turned really dry and frizzy. Since I´m using this oil, they are smooth and soft again. Additionally, it protects the hair from heat (blow dryer) and it smells delicious.

Yellow:

Burts Bees Lemon Lime Lip Gloss: This is literally the only "yellow" product I own. I don´t really use it as a lip gloss, as it moisturizes the lips very well, so it is more of a lip balm. There is just one huge problem. It stinks! But I use it every night, before I go to bed, and the next morning my lips are really smooth.

Green:

Mac "Humid": A really nice green, which is beautiful on the lid or in the crease. Unfortunately, I´m not using it too often. I should really use it more! The quality is good, as usual for Mac.

Purple:

UDPP "original": Okay, I admit it. I´m cheating on this one. But I have no other product, which is a pure purple.  All the rest of my "purple" products, are more greyish or blue. But the UDPP is a really good base and I will definitely repurchase it if mine is empty.

Blue:

OPI "Unfor-greta-bly blue": Such a stunning blue! I love it. I don´t really like blue on my nails, but this one is absolutely beautiful. I can´t stop wearing it. Two layers are enough and it lasts for up to 6 days on my nails. And the name is awesome, too.

Pink:

Topshop Cream Blush "Flush": Actually, it is a bit brighter than it is on the picture. I already featured it in my Top 5 Blushes post. It is just so easy to work with and gives such a nice colour to the cheeks.

Multicoloured:

Sleek Palette "Sparkle 2": Oh dear, I´m not really a sucker for multicoloured things and most of the time they just don´t attract me, as I wouldn´t use half of the colours. This is the only multicoloured item I have and yes, it consists of 7 dark colours and 4 light ones. Can you actually call this multicoloured?

Top 5: Eyeshadows

this week is so busy. One of my friends from Germany is here to visit me for a week and we´re out all day long and I have to work. Even though it´s so much fun, I´m so tired.
Anyway, I didn´t want to miss out on blogging and today it´s time for another Top 5 Tuesday. This time, it´s all about eyeshadows.

Manhattan "dim brown" (top left): This is one of my all time favourites. I bought it 1,5 years ago and I´m still loving it. The pigmentation is amazing and it feels so smooth when applying it. It has already a quite deep hollow, which you can´t see on the picture. Its colour changes between grey and green, depending on the light.

No7 (no name) (top right): I received it in a gift box by No7, which you got when you spent more than 15pounds on No7 make up. In the beginning, I didn´t like it at all, but now it is one of my favourites. Often, I use it instead of a black eyeshadow, as it is a really dark green with gold shimmer and looks black most of the time. It is easy to work with and stays the whole day/night.

Mac "Satin Taupe" (bottom): Do I really have to talk about this one? I have been talking about it so much already, you are probably bored as soon as you see it on a picture. Just that: I love it and I would always repurchase it.

Rival de Loop "white coffee" (right): My favourite to blend all edges of my make up. I use it everyday and I already repurchased it 2 times. 

Chanel Illusion d´ombre "Émerveillé" (right): I have been thinking about buying it for nearly a year. It is pretty expensive, but it is worth it. It works without a base and I usually take it with me every weekend (as I´m out every weekend) and I use no other eyeshadow on the weekends (except the one above). It is perfect for a really natural look but also goes really well with a nice eyeliner. It was really worth buying it.

FOTD - Jennifers Goldrush

Hey there,

Green-gold was always an autumn colours to me. I rarely wear that colour in spring/summer, but the weather was so awful this morning, that I decided to give it a go. So I took out my green-golds and this is what it ended in.

I tried to keep it very simple, so it didn´t look too dark.

Unfortunately, you can´t really see "Satin Taupe", which I used in the crease. I don´t know why, but the light was pretty bad today.

Mac Favourites

Hey there :)

I´m a huge Mac fan. Especially their lipsticks and eyeshadows are brilliant. Of course, it is not just all about Mac and everybody has a different opinion about the quality for the price, but I´m happy to spend that money. Obviously not all the time, more as a treat for myself.

So today, I´d like to show you my favourite Mac products. I tried not to feature any limited edition products, but there was one piece that I love so much, it had to be named.

Top 5 Tuesday: Lipsticks

I thought I start the "Top 5 Tuesday", which means that every Tuesday I´m going to show you my Top 5 in any category. Today I´d like to start with my favourite lipsticks.

Revlon Lip Butter "Berry Smoothie", Catrice "It´s a Matt World", Mac "Lickable", Mac "Russian Red", No7 "Classic Rose"

Revlon "Berry Smoothie" - sheer brownish rose

Absolutely perfect for a natural look. It has pretty much the same colour as my lips and gives them the perfect your lips but better look.

Catrice "It´s a Matt World" - matte orange-red

I´m mad about matte lipsticks and this one is a cheap matt lipstick from Germany. 

Mac "Lickable" - pink-red

Mac "Russian Red" - matte bright red

Oh, it´s love! Very bright, very beautiful and very in your face. But what can I see but I love it! The quality is amazing and it lasts nearly the whole day. Russian Red, oh, Russian Red! What would I do without you?

No7 "Classic Rose" - matte pink-rose

Actually it is more pink then it is on the picture. Perfect when you want a bit more colour than the Revlon Lip Butter but you don´t want it too bright.

Mac Palette filled - Mission accomplished

Hey there :)

As I told you earlier, I finally filled my Mac palette with refill no. 14 and 15. So now I would like to show you my full palette, including swatches.

Before I start with the pictures, my general opinion about Mac eyeshadows:
Oh, I love them. My love started with Satin Taupe and since then, I just couldn´t stop...The quality as well as the colours are worth the price and I appreciate especially colours like "Club", which are nearly impossible to find if you take a look at drugstore brands.
I also use other brands, but I use at least one Mac eyeshadow nearly every day.

Satin Taupe and All that Glitters are my absolute favourites and are used a lot.

Mac Haul

Hey there

Monday I went to my nearest Mac Counter to finally complete my aim of completing my Mac pallet. Of course, I was successful.

left: Deep Truth right: Sable

Deep Truth is a midnight blue, which has a metallic shimmer.

Sable is a warm gold brown, which gets a touch of plum on the eyelid.

When I was just about to leave, I saw a wonderful lipstick which begged me to take him home. And, as you can see by the name of my blog, I can´t resist lipsticks!

"Lickable" (cremesheen)

1 layer - As you can see, it is quite sheer and that makes it perfect for an everyday look.

It is definitely a lipstick which doesn´t get enough attention compared to other lipsticks by Mac e.g. "Myth".
