Colours of the Rainbow Tag

Hey there,

you have probably seen this tag so often by now, that you don´t even want to read this. But I really like to see all these products for a specific colour. Sometimes I wouldn´t even think of the products that some blogger feature in their posts. So today, I´d like to show you my version and products. Let´s get started.

Red:

Mac "Russian Red": This is most probably my most loved lipstick ever. I love the matte finish and the colour is simply amazing.

Orange:

Loreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil: Here in England, the lenght of my hair turned really dry and frizzy. Since I´m using this oil, they are smooth and soft again. Additionally, it protects the hair from heat (blow dryer) and it smells delicious.

Yellow:

Burts Bees Lemon Lime Lip Gloss: This is literally the only "yellow" product I own. I don´t really use it as a lip gloss, as it moisturizes the lips very well, so it is more of a lip balm. There is just one huge problem. It stinks! But I use it every night, before I go to bed, and the next morning my lips are really smooth.

Green:

Mac "Humid": A really nice green, which is beautiful on the lid or in the crease. Unfortunately, I´m not using it too often. I should really use it more! The quality is good, as usual for Mac.

Purple:

UDPP "original": Okay, I admit it. I´m cheating on this one. But I have no other product, which is a pure purple.  All the rest of my "purple" products, are more greyish or blue. But the UDPP is a really good base and I will definitely repurchase it if mine is empty.

Blue:

OPI "Unfor-greta-bly blue": Such a stunning blue! I love it. I don´t really like blue on my nails, but this one is absolutely beautiful. I can´t stop wearing it. Two layers are enough and it lasts for up to 6 days on my nails. And the name is awesome, too.

Pink:

Topshop Cream Blush "Flush": Actually, it is a bit brighter than it is on the picture. I already featured it in my Top 5 Blushes post. It is just so easy to work with and gives such a nice colour to the cheeks.

Multicoloured:

Sleek Palette "Sparkle 2": Oh dear, I´m not really a sucker for multicoloured things and most of the time they just don´t attract me, as I wouldn´t use half of the colours. This is the only multicoloured item I have and yes, it consists of 7 dark colours and 4 light ones. Can you actually call this multicoloured?

So these were my products. What would you choose for the colours? Can I call this palette multicoloured?

NOTD - black ´n´white is my confetti

Hey there,

as I have shown you in my latest haul, I bought the Loreal Confetti Topcoat. It caught my eye ages ago, but it was always sold out. When I finally found it, I just had to buy it. I´m really glad I did. It is black and white, so it goes really well on top of nearly any nail polish.
This time, I felt like wearing grey nails, but in the end it seemed too boring to me. So I just added the Loreal topcoat and I´m amazed. It is so simple, but looks so good.

Base: Rival de Loop "lucky grey" (LE)

Do you have the Loreal Confetti Topcoat? Do you like it, or not? What nail polish do you combine with it?

June Haul

Hey there,

I finally ended my "don´t buy make up"-phase. Actually, I thought I would buy a lot more after 2 months without buying make up. I´m quite proud! But now I´d like to show you my little haul with all the make up products I bought in June.

Just a few pics.

Opi "Greenwhich Village" and "Italian Love Affair": These two were a really lucky pic. I bought them in an outlet store for just 4 pounds each, because they have the wrong names on the label, but I went into Sallys and looked them up. So that was no problem at all.

Loreal Confetti Topcoat: Oh, I wanted this one for ages and it was the reason why I finally bought make up again. Always sold out, I just had to buy it when I finally found it. There´s going to be a NOTD with it online soon.

left: "Italian Love Affair" - a light pink, 3 layers
right: "Greenwhich Village" - bright grass green, 2 layers

Model Co Fibre Lashextend: This was a gimmick with the latest Glamour. I always buy the Glamour and I would never purchase the mascara itself. Yes, it gives an amazing length, but no volume at all. If you need length, then this might be the mascara for you. I´m more the volume girl, so this is not the best for me.

Sleek "Life´s a peach": This is my first Sleek blush, which is not a limited edition. I have to admit, I´m so in love with it. The pigmentation is amazing and it gives you a natural look. It can also be layered for a more excentric look.

Revlon Lip Butter "Sorbet": One of the new shades, it caught my eye. The quality is as good as the other lip butters and yes, I´m an addict! The colour is a juicy pink, with hints of blue. On the lips, it looks really fresh and summery and, because of the blue hints in it, it makes the teeth look whiter.

Clarins Ecalt Minute Lip Perfector 01: I´ve seen it used by the lovely Reni and yes, that´s the reason why I bought it. And I´m very happy I did. It is a little bit pricey (about 17pounds for 12(!)ml), but the effect it amazing. The lips feel soft, moist and look simply amazing. When I wore a drying lipstick, I just use that one the day after and my lips are all good again. And the smell, a dream!

These were my purchases in June. I really love every single bit (except the mascara, but I didn´t really buy it) and I don´t regret buying any of them. Have you purchased one of these recently? How do you like the new Revlon Lip Butter shades?

Loreal Carese "Juliet"

Hey there :)

In my previous haul, I showed you the Loreal Carese Lip Laquer in "Juliet". After a couple of weeks, I´d like to share my opinion with you.

The packaging is nice and simple, but there is a big problem with the applicator. It´s shape makes it nearly impossible to create a good result. You can see the problem in the next picture.

The product itself has a really nice colour and pigmentation, but it gives an uneven finish. Some part, espacialls the middle of the lips, are coloured mire then the rest.
On the lips it doesn´t feel sticky at all, but leaves a very wet feeling. Here it depends on wheter you like that feeling or not.

Here you can see the "stain" after 4 hours. It is nearly gone, only in the centre of the lips is a bit of the red left. It looked like I bit my lip.

All in all a nice colours, but that´s it. The uneven finish as well as the "stain" are big cons. In my opinion, this product is not worth purchasing it.

Do you like the Loreal Carese Lip Laquers? Do you have other colours? Are they better?

Lots of love xx

Boots 3 for 2 - Who doesn´t get mad?!

Hey there :)

When I went to get some things at my nearest Mac counter, I walked past a Boots and they had a big 3 for 2 offer on all make up, so - obviously - I had to go in. I mean, how can I be really addicted to make up when I can stand an offer like that?!

So in Boots, I went a bit mad...

I went a little mad about lips as you can see.

Loreal True Match Foundation (9.99): My old foundation isn´t available anymore, so I had to look for a new one. This is the palest one I could find. The first impression is quite good. Loreal offers a huge range of shades, so that even I (I´m so pale!) found a matching colour. A review will come up in the next weeks.

Essie "Mint Candy Apple" (7.99): One of the most hyped nail varnishes by Essie. A beautiful mint, with a blue touch. I have lots of mint nail varnishes, but this is definitely the most gorgeous one.
Typical Essie quality. I love it!

Loreal Lip Laquer "Juliet" (7.99): I was interested in lip laquers for a very long time now, so I decided to look for some. This red with a slight hint of purple is just beautiful and on the lips a perfect red for a casual day.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquers (top to bottom) ""Stellar", "Apocaliptic", "Celestial" (5.99): In addition to the Loreal one, I wanted to try the Rimmel ones as well, as I already heard lots of good things about them. The colour range is just amazing! So many nice, bright colours! I couldn´t really decide, so I bought 3 different colours.

Swatches and Reviews for the lip laquers will come online in the next couple of days.

How do you like lip laquers?  Do you like them or do you prefer lipsticks/lipgloss?

Lots of Love xx
